Power, Powder, Powder

So I rarely write about my lovely hubby's adventures and really I must get better at that because he's been doing some really cool stuff this year.

In the summer Chris got back into Auto-crossing after we bought him a new (well actually second-hand car). He was such a good sport about giving up his 350Z when we left DC, but he also missed having a 'fun' car to drive. Somehow the Subaru (aka family-wagon) just doesn't cut it. In any case, we found the perfect blend of practicality (4 doors and back seats for the kids) and sporty-fun in a BMW 330i. Soooo...back to the Auto-crossing...Chris ended up WINNING a couple of events in his 'class'! Pretty amazing given he was running on street tires and not the 'racing slick's' that a lot of the guys use.

Then this winter Chris continued to enjoy the agressive skiing that he gets to do out here in Colorado. He's got a bunch of mates that are also awesome skiers so that makes it even more fun for him. During our recent trip to Avon Chris took a day trip over to Vail (only about 20 minutes away) given they'd had an awesome powder day, and he ended up skiing with a guy he met on the bus over. He took these really great shots of Chris in the snow. Pretty amazing huh?! That's what as much as 28 inches of powder in a single day looks like!

Yes, life in Colorado is rough...
