James - 3 Years Old!

Our little man (with his cream cheese mustache) turned 3 years old back on April 19, a date where we were en-route to Germany to visit his great-grandparents!

At 3 James continues to be a chill little guy.  He's rarely rambunctious, but loves to have fun with those that he's most comfortable with. He tends to be shy and introverted around people he doesn't know well (as opposed to Anna who is quite the extrovert and will chat up any old stranger), but at home he's a silly little playful, funny and sharp little guy.  Here are a few fun facts about James at 3...

  • We finally got potty-trained...after some early wins, potty training ended up being quite the process!
  • James LOVES Lightning McQueen.  He's still a HUGE fan of the Cars movie
  • For his 3rd Birthday James got his first big-boy bike which he's been riding like a pro since day 1 (with training wheels of course).  No surprises that the bike has Lightning McQueen on it.
  • He likes to sleep clutching something in his hand (usually a toy car or two)
  • We're so used to calling James our "baby" (who can resist 'Sweet Baby James'), but lately he's taken to correcting us: "I'm not a baby, I'm a big boy!"
  • If you ask James who his best friend is, his answer is "Anna".  They are a great pair and will spend hours entertaining each other.
  • He's still a snuggle muffin.  At bedtime he'll always ask for snuggles, and when we say its time for us to go he always responds with "Just ONE more minute"
  • He's still a Momma's Boy (and Momma loves it :)
  • His favorite color is Blue
  • He asks to go back to Disney at least twice a week!
  • When he grows up he wants to be a race car driver (look out!)
  • When he sees a sports car he says "I want to drive that when I grow up"
  • He can read and recognize any letter of the alphabet
  • He was not a fan of swim lessons...something to try again when he's 4 perhaps
  • He loves to sit and 'read' (look at) books
I love you more than the moon and the stars and the sky - love Mum

  1. He's right! He's not a baby; he's a big boy. Very sweet post, K! And, he looks so much like Anna in that photo. xoxo
