Camping in the Mountains - Day 2 - Adventures!

Our second day in the mountains was adventure filled!  After a relaxing and yummy breakfast under a clear blue sky...
Anna helped Chris do the dishes while James tried to figure out how much sand he could eat.
After a little bit of relaxing...
...we hit the road and headed over to Georgetown to ride the Georgetown Loop Railway.
As the kids fell asleep in the car on our way back to the campsite we realized we were just a short ride from Mount Evans and North America's highest auto road!  We decided to seize the opportunity to keep the kids asleep and take in the sights.  As we passed the tree-line and headed to the summit it even began to snow!
Here Chris is daring the summit snowfall in a t-shirt and shorts!
After an exciting day out and about we enjoyed some fun frisbee with the kids before settling in again for an evening meal cooked by grill-master Chris (note Anna in the background reading books while leaning on a rock).

  1. Lots of great pictures! It looks like Anna and James had a blast. Mom and Dad may not have gotten much sleep : ) but at least the kids had fun!

  2. The Kids are so adorable it's ridiculous!! I cant believe Anna is already drawing recognisable pictures - Uncle Bollox said "they're aliens!!!"
