We decided to spend our first full day in Perth with a little visit to Lake Leschenaultia, a lake built in 1897 as a dam by the Western Australian Government Railway to replenish the steam engines travelling to remote towns. We were joined by my wonderful girlfriend Lynette who enjoyed spoiling the kids with some well used gifts during our trip - cool little hooded beach towels!
